Saint Perpetua Catholic Church
Outreach Committee
The Outreach Committee is actively looking for new members who are interested in helping others. WE NEED YOUR HELP! Our mission is to develop and implement programs of service, action and financial aid for those who suffer and are in need.
Sub-committees include:
- Publicity to communicate activities and programs
- Blue Barrel for food and goods collections
- Volunteer opportunities such as the monthly Shelter dinners
- Agency assessments to insure reliable distribution of goods and funds.
Individuals may be involved in these sub-committees without being a regular Outreach committee member or attending monthly meetings.
Shelter dinners are held once a month and rely on volunteers to help prepare, transport, and serve the meals. Your participation depends on your schedule. We currently have needs for additional cooks, drivers and servers. Contact the parish office for information.
Each committee member has the opportunity to represent an agency. Periodic contacts via phone or in person are made to understand the agencies needs or if its organization / structure has changed. This information helps to make informed decisions regarding parish contributions of volunteer time, Blue Barrel goods, or money.
The committee meets at 7:30 pm on the 1st Tuesday of each month for 1 – 1 ½ hours. We meet in the parish office. An additional 1 to2 hours per month may be given to special projects.
If you are interested in joining this worthwhile committee, feel free to contact any member, the parish office, or come to a meeting – no obligations or send us an email
