Children’s Liturgy of the Word

 

Function

During the 9:30 Mass adult volunteers gather the children in grades K-4 to proclaim the Word of God in language understandable and relevant to them. Training and necessary resource material provided.

 

Structure

This ministry currently is coordinated by Christoph Nauer. At this point it functions with eight members. More presiders are needed in order to offer 2 different age groups, K-2 and 3-4.

 

Member Profile

Members from all segments of the parish population are welcome and valued. A love for children, the Liturgy of the Word and the willingness to share your faith are helpful.

 

Time Commitment

Presiders can sign up for one or more Masses a month. Preparation time for each Mass is about 20 to 30 minutes. All presiders meet two to three times a year for planning, scheduling and evaluating the program.

The committee has functioned without set terms.
